Minutes of the Board of Management Meeting
July 3, 2002

Members met for a Summer Board Meeting at the home of Board Member Mike Eisele. Also present were Secretary and Interim President Sandy Podesta, Treasurer Jon Morrow, Board Members Jim O'Brien, Rita Amaio, Kim Ruggiero and Brian Burke. Members Mark Kasevich and Tom Hynes were absent.

ANNUAL MEETING AND FESTIVITIES: The HERCC Annual Meeting and Picnic will be held Saturday, July 20, as previously announced. (Raindate: Sunday, July 21.) Please note that the Annual Meeting begins at 9:00 am; see enclosed flyer and agenda for details. Volunteers are eagerly sought to help with planning and procurement (very easy jobs.) See you on the 20th!

BEACH CLEAN-UP: HERCC's annual beach clean-up was a huge success. On behalf of all those who use the beach during the summer months, the Board thanks those residents who helped clean the beach. Special thanks go to Jim O'Brien, Ken Finkle, Bart Ruggiero, Brian Burke, Bill Bussmann and other stouthearted men who helped to repair the jetty.

HERCC WEBSITE: Jon Morrow reported that he now has the HERCC website up and running once again. Residents can log on at any of the following addresses: hercc.orghercc.net or hercc.com for minutes, news, by-laws and other information. The Board thanks Jon for single-handedly spearheading this project for all members. Anyone wishing to have his or her e-mail address listed on the site should contact Sandy Podesta at sp@eBusinessWriting.com; she'll forward this information to Jon.

TRASH PICK-UP: Due to lack of interest and compelling advantages, no changes will be made to the arrangements for beach trash pick-up.

MEMBER PROPOSAL: The Board again discussed the proposal that Jon Morrow distributed to the membership in which he proposes securing an option to buy the Association's easement on his property in order to make improvements to his home. Jon's proposal includes granting HERCC in perpetuity the full use of the easement that it enjoys now. This proposal will be presented to the entire membership at the Annual Meeting for a vote.

They're being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,

Sandy Podesta
