Attendees: Mary Blank, Kim Ruggiero, Tom Connor, Mike Eisele,
Jim O'Brien, Judy Merriam, Rita Amaio.
Absent were Sandy Podesta and Jon Morrow.
Audit - As proscribed by the By-Laws, an audit of the books will be held this year. Board Member Tom Connors will perform this vital function along with non-Board members Paul Teich and Bob Cika. The Board thanks previous members of the Committee for their hard work.
New Business - A history of the Association will be done. Mary will ask the following people to be on the committee: Ellen Cika to Chair the committee, along with Ed Birdsey, Paul Teich, Pauline Anderson, and George Wilkinson, Jr.
Tom Connor will call our insurance agent for a copy of our policy. We recently paid the renewal of $750.00
Mary Blank will have stakes installed along the roads and the
speed bumps to guide the snow plowers. She has re-contracted with
Aronson's to plow the Association streets.
Judy Merriam will check the boat racks to be sure that the boats
are tied down for winter.
A winter social gathering for the Association was discussed. Kim
will bring some suggestions back to the next meeting.
Jim O'Brien reported that the jetty repair will commence next
spring.
Rules and Regulations for the beach will be included and distributed
with the next set of minutes.
Mike Eisele asked the Association for a financial contribution
toward the paving of the road leading to his home. A discussion
followed concerning the ownership of the roads. A decision about
payment was tabled until it can be determined if HERCC owns the
road.
It was decided that a letter would be sent to the Willenkins advising
them that the Association owns about 25 feet beyond the fence
that currently sits on the road leading from Soundview Avenue
to the Willenkin property.
On behalf of the Board and the Association, Mary congratulated
Tom Connors and his new bride on their recent marriage. She also
wished a speedy recovery and return home to Pauline Anderson,
who has been recently hospitalized.
The Board thanked Rita Amaio for replacing the tubs and flowers
on the beach lot and Mary for the paint used to paint the speed
bumps.
New Members - Mary Blank provided a copy of the by-laws
to neighborhood residents who asked and also to the realtors representing
sellers of homes for sales and/or potential buyers of those homes.
New property owners include:
-Former Urban Residence: Brian and Marilyn Langille from New York
City
-Former Larson/Kasevich Residence: Harold A. Brownfield and Faye
Marie Morgan Brownfield
