Minutes of the Board of Management Meeting

December 4, 1999

The last Board Meeting of the Millennium was held at the home of President Brian Burke. Also present were Secretary Sandy Podesta, Tom Hynes and Jim O'Brien. Michael Eisele, Rita Amaio, Treasurer Jon Morrow and Kim Ruggiero were absent.

2000 ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARTY: As no one has yet volunteered to host the Annual Holiday Party, President Brian Burke will ask the Eiseles if they would generously offer their home once again for this festive occasion, which will take place as usual on the third Sunday of the month: January 16th. Brian will ask Kim and Rita for help with planning, the invitation and distribution of food requests to balance hors d'oeuvres and desserts.

BEACH: The large tree that had washed up on the beach and jetty, threatening to damage the jetty, was quickly removed at a cost of $500 to the Association.

SEA WALL: Brian reported to the Board that John Atticks, the Association's lawyer, is able to settle the lawsuit under the terms already agreed to by the Board.

2000 DIRECTORY: Sandy Podesta reported that the updated Directory is ready to go to press. Copies will be mailed to each member along with these minutes. She thanked Bonnie Burke and Rita Amaio for their help in preparing the Directory.

TAG SALE: The fall tag sale was another success, with baked goods growing in popularity. $423.75 was raised to help repay the cost of building the beach shed. Kim Ruggiero and Sandy Podesta will discuss changes and possibilities for the next tag sale. All members are invited to participate in planning by calling either Kim or Sandy.

BOARD OF MANAGEMENT: Pursuant to the newly-adopted by-laws, Brian Burke is in the process of setting up an Audit Committee to review Association budgets and accounting, along with non-Board member Steve Nikituk. Also in keeping with the by-laws, the President must appoint a HERCC member to fill a vacancy on the Board created with the election of Sandy Podesta to Secretary. The appointee will complete the remainder of her term, which ends in July 2000. Several nominations were proposed; Brian Burke will pursue each.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. Respectfully submitted,

Sandy Podesta, Secretary
