The Board Meeting was held at the home of Secretary Sandy Podesta. Also present were President Brian Burke, Treasurer Jon Morrow, Board Members Jim O'Brien and Michael Eisele.
BEACH CLEAN-UP: The Annual Beach Clean up was a great success attendance was at a high. The Board thanks everyone who pitched in and urges everyone else to join in the fun next year. (If you missed it this year, check out pictures on the HERCC website!)
ANNUAL HERCC MEETING AND PICNIC: This year's Annual Meeting will take place on Saturday July 21 at 9:00am on the HERCC Beach Lawn. (Sunday the 22 is the rain date.) John Teich will once again be leading the Children's Parade motorcade (look for him on his yellow motorbike); the parade begins at 5:00 pm. After the parade, children's games will take place on the beach and the picnic will begin at 6:00 pm. All hands are welcome to help; anyone wishing to volunteer to assist with food, games, beverages, grilling and ideas should contact a Board Member. See enclosed flyer for details.
BOARD MEMBERSHIP: The Board will propose a slate of nominees for election at the Annual Board Meeting on July 21. The Board has nominated Tom Hynes for President. For re-election as Board Members, the Board nominates Jim O'Brien, Rita Amaio and Mike Eisele. Brian Burke has been nominated to complete the remainder of Tom Hynes' term. The slate may be approved or amended at the meeting and then voted on by all present.
SPEED BUMPS: The Board has arranged for the speed bumps to be replaced and is making every effort to ensure that this is completed as soon as possible.
JETTY MAINTENANCE: Research on the jetty repairs is underway. As with so many water-related projects, this process is a complex one. Details will be provided at the Annual Meeting.
HERCC WEBSITE: Our own website has been up and running for some time, thanks to Jon Morrow. If anyone would like to have his or her e-mail address added to the site, please contact Jon at 245-1405.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. Respectfully submitted,
Sandy Podesta
